      Impossible to define and summarize Cabaia? Yet/ Nevertheless here’s what you need to remember in a few key words and concepts.

    The founders

    BASTIEN VALENSI 
    Founder and air guitar champion. 

    Having worked in retail from a young age, Bastien first founded an outlet website for major brands, followed by a connected physical store. In 2015, he launched CABAIA. 

    Fun fact: A true life-of-the-party, Bastien transforms into a one-man air orchestra whenever Sous les Tropiques starts playing. 


    EMILIEN FOIRET
    Co-founder and cycling tan specialist. 

    After starting his career as an engineer, Emilien left the rigid industry to create an e-commerce business before joining the CABAIA adventure. 

    Fun fact: A dedicated cyclist, Emilien commutes to work on his bike and is often spotted in full Lycra during morning meetings.

    From Copacabana to CABAIA 

    The brand’s name and logo were inspired by a desire to create a unifying universe that feels as good as a vacation.

    And what better symbol of that than a beach hut? As for the name, “Copacabaïa” was considered, but it felt a bit long—so they kept the essentials, and CABAIA was born.

    • The adventure begins

      2015 - The CABAIA adventure begins with the iconic beanies featuring interchangeable pom-poms.

      2018 - CABAIA partners with the French SPA to launch its first solidarity collection, donating 100% of the proceeds to the association.

      2019 - Launch of the Adventurer backpack, co-created with customers. The success is immediate!

      2020 - CABAIA reaches a symbolic milestone: 1,000 retailers across Europe.

      2021 - Opening of the first CABAIA store in central Paris: the beginning of the Paillote
